Hi Friends. It's hard to believe we are already nearing the end of October. As plans are in full swing to prepare for the upcoming holidays, I've decided to put classes on hold. Who needs another thing to do during this already busy time?
November 6th we are meeting as writers at 10am. All are welcome, no matter where you are in your writing interests.
November 14th, G.A.L.S. will meet at 9:30. G.A.L.S. stands for grace, acceptance, love and support. It's a community for women where we discuss today's most pressing issues that we face in this culture. We will again talk about HURRYING/STRESS and how it hurts ourselves and those around us. I have my own story to share, as I was just in the hospital for sharp chest pains. The stress we put ourselves through is not worth it, friends. This was an eye opener for me!
I am debating on having a G.A.L.S. group meet in December, both in the a.m. and p.m., to fellowship and work on "projects" like writing cards, wrapping presents and so forth. If you're interested in this, let me know. The date would be December 12th.
Lastly, I am calling a meeting on December 7th for ANYONE interested in the art ministry in any way. Come to help brainstorm, discuss, pray and dream about what this ministry will look like in 2015. Meeting will be after 1st service in the art room. Approx. 10:30am.

I choose to not be anxious about the fast approaching consumerism surrounding Christmas. Instead I choose to sit in anticipation of the celebration of the Savior's miraculous birth, reflecting on what that beginning meant for mankind. I look forward with excitement about the joy that this season brings- intentional time with my family- my home family and my church family- focusing on the One who is truly deserving of my attention. I am choosing to strip Christmas of consumerism and stress and instead fill it with all the stuff it says on Christmas cards- peace, joy, good tidings... Jesus.
